This story begins at an OfficeMax Store in Oro Valley AZ when Shelby walked in to visit a friend and Luis was there as the manger. Shelby will never forget the day she walked in, Luis was in the middle of the tech isle with a coworker when Luis looked over his shoulder to look at Shelby. They became friends for two years before Luis came in to the OfficeMax store Shelby was working at to drop off a store transfer and to ask Shelby if she would like to be his date for his friend’s wedding. Shelby joked and teased him before she told him yes. That was the first time Shelby thought that he had feelings for her. They went to PF Changs for their first date to talk about the wedding that they were going to attend in December. On January 1st of 2015 Luis asked Shelby to be his girlfriend and the rest was history.

Shelby and Luis have gone on many adventures together after that day and on one of the adventures to see one of their favorite DJ’s, Hardwell, Luis told Shelby that he loved her. Now Shelby already fell in love with him way before that night but never said anything cause she was a chicken. A couple years later, in 2017, Shelby and Luis made the decision to move in with each other and in 2018 decided to make the huge leap to purchase their first house that they currently live in with their sweet dog named Tiffany. Shelby and Luis are both goal driven and work hard together to make their dreams come true. Shelby knew early on after a few years that she found her soul mate and the man that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. Luis knew this, friends and family knew this so for the last couple years Luis has been teased about making one more dream of theirs come true.

On Sept. 2nd 2022, Luis put in hard work to not only surprise Shelby on their friend’s trip to Rocky Point Mexico, but the friends as well when got down on one knee on the hot sand to ask Shelby if she would marry him. They have been through many ups and downs over the years but their dreams of becoming Husband and Wife are AT LAST coming true on October 12, 2024 and they cannot be any more excited to share this new adventure with you.
